Running tights may also provide comfort and wicking capabilities, but this may depend on the material they're made of. However, both terms can be used interchangeably, and it's helpful to choose the suitable material for your needs.
Base Layer vs. Running Tights: How Do They Work?
The only thing that even separates the two is their materials. A base layer is typically made of synthetic fibers or wool, while tights are made of a blend of nylon and lycra. Base layers are perfect for exercising in cold temps because it's extremely thin. Runners can start using tights once the temperature rises to around 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 5 degrees Celsius.
When to Use Which One?
